THE BEAUTIFUL SOULS THAT GRACE THE CREEK
"THE HEART OF THE WISE MAN LIES QUIET LIKE LIMPID WATER."
CAMEROON PROVERB
The book of origins is a story book based on the story of Igbo Landing. Igbo Landing is a true story and also a story popular in Black Folklore, the story speaks of a group of 75 African people, forced into slavery and brought to the Americas on a ship off the coast of Georgia. Rather than enslavement, the people overthrew the ship and proceeded into the creek. Folklore tells the story of the people flying back to their homeland to freedom.
For the story book I created an organic character form to represent the main characters of the story. The primary colors of the book are black and white with a hint of blue throughout.
