Thesis Project MICA
For my thesis project during the Graphic Design Master's program at the Maryland Institute College of Art, I interviewed several people in my community to learn more about dialects and languages across the African Diaspora. Both family and friends discussed the importance of vernacular and language in their daily lives, how language relates to their history and how language has impacted their worlds. I developed a series of accordion books as transcripts for each interview along with a website design which houses various linguistic terms and full transcripts of the interviews. I also developed quote graphic posters for each interviewee.
